| I was walking down Court
Street in Brooklyn one day and passed a craft store that I had passed
many times before. This time, however, I noticed a little sign in the
door advertising pottery classes. Well, the rest as they say... I started
learning pottery with Debra Leche and then met Jan Pacifico (whose shop
it was) and started a long and amazing friendship. I followed Jan to New
Mexico and continued my love affair with pottery, reopening Tomé
Clay as a lifelong dream and then turning it into a co-op that has now
become The Tomé Art Gallery.
I have been making one type of craft or another since my maternal grandmother
taught me to crochet at the age of 6. I found basketweaving just two years
ago and got caught in the immediate gratification and serenity that it
offers.
I also work with computers and design websites like
this one. If you are interested, please contact me at MSPOTTS@AOL.COM. |
